About Lodge 77

Our Story

Chartered in 2004, Louisville Corrections FOP Lodge 77 proudly represents more than 500 members of the Louisville Metro Department of Corrections, including Officers, Sergeants, Lieutenants, Captains, and Retirees. As the exclusive Fraternal Order of Police lodge for Louisville Metro Corrections, Lodge 77 serves as a unified voice for sworn corrections professionals dedicated to public safety, professionalism, and service.

FOP Lodge 77 is a Closed Lodge, with membership limited to current and former employees of the Louisville Metro Department of Corrections and Retirees. This structure ensures the Lodge remains focused solely on the unique needs, challenges, and interests of Louisville Metro Corrections personnel. As an FOP lodge with a Collective Bargaining Agreement in place, Lodge 77 provides its members with strong representation, legal defense coverage, and advocacy that rivals the protections of any labor organization.

Our Mission

As a Fraternal Order of Police lodge, Lodge 77 represents and advocates for its members through collective bargaining, legal defense, and member support. While we are not a traditional union, we negotiate and maintain a Collective Bargaining Agreement on behalf of Officers, Sergeants, Lieutenants, and Captains — ensuring fair wages, benefits, safe working conditions, and due process protections for every member we serve.

Community Involvement

In addition to labor representation, Lodge 77 is committed to supporting its members and the community through charitable and benevolent initiatives. These include direct financial assistance, member support programs, and community outreach — including our annual Coat-a-Kid program providing warm clothing to children in need across Louisville.

Associates Lodge

FOP Lodge 77 also maintains an Associates Lodge, which allows approved supporters and community members who do not meet eligibility for full membership to support the mission and values of the Fraternal Order of Police. The Associates Lodge provides a meaningful way for friends of Louisville Metro Corrections to stand alongside our members and contribute to charitable initiatives.
